If you have "no place to go," come here!

I feel like believing...

vastleft's picture

... that the Clintons are racists
... that Bill Clinton's presidency wasn't a whole lot better than the other ones in the last 40 years
... that old GOP slime is appropriate material for progressives to muck around in
... that Obama will magically make the GOP stop being ruthless, authoritarian, and corrupt -- and that today's problems are equally the fault of bickering, Chablis-drinking liberals
... that swarming abusiveness in the pursuit of unity is no vice
... that we're all gonna get ponies

For so many of us, feeling like believing these things is what being a Democrat is all about these days.

What do you feel like believing? (Pro-Obama and anti-Clinton beliefs only, please. This is about change you can feel like you can believe in. Hillary is too boringly reality-based to be a vessel for our hopes, dreams, and desired facts, y'know.)

If Obama offered all of us ponies, that would be great. But he hasn't offered them to over half the Democratic Party. (But all Republicans can get one!) That's the problem.

I feel like believing what I damn well want to

I feel like believing that those who think they can dictate to others will die of aneurysms

I feel like believing that people who profess Hope as their main political theme are selling snake oil

I feel like believing that people who profess change without a picture of the end result are trying to steal something from me

I feel like believing that opening up too many kool-aid containers without snapping them closed again creates a haze that can cause bad judgment

I feel like believing that doing what you can including using campaign funds to hire lawyers to ensure that two states cannot have a revote are dictators

I feel like believing that just because Michelle is a ding-bat it doesn't mean that Hillary is.

I feel like believing that Donna Brazile is a racist

I feel like believing that segregating blacks is not going to help blacks or the nation

I feel like believing that we will be at war somewhere in the world for the next 100 years

I feel like believing that Hillary will be elected and we will be able to pass legislation that will protect the American worker from Outsourcing and Off shoring.

I feel like believing that US citizens are intelligent enough to vote Hillary Clinton the only candidate with a clear set of guidelines with a clear image of the outcome in as the next president of the US.

I feel like believing that I am ending this post now, save for the quote at the end.

“Democrats have a habit of falling in love with candidates on the first date.”

I saw one today, while running errands for work, that said.

Really, because that's all we need.

I feel like believing that I can afford to put my son through college. Heck, I feel like believing I could write the check for all four years right now.

I feel like believing that Quarter-Pounders and cigarettes are healthy and exercise is likely to be fatal.

I feel like believing Republicans are good, fellow Democrats are bad, and all we need is a Unity Pony.
