"Holder: 'Change is coming' after police shooting"

BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!!! That's what they said in 2008! Can't they at least have the common human decency to invent new fake rhetoric?

on the conservative side of Dem politics, as best I can tell.

Holder is simply trying to quell civil unrest, and hoping to tamp down anger in the African-American community with an election only several months away. (IMO)

When I was a teenager, I saw an interview (with an older sibling) with Lew Alcindor, right about the time that he converted to Islam. He seemed to be a rather conservative dude--attended rather strict Catholic schools, the son of a policeman, etc., IIRC.

Anyhoo, my takeaway was that he was considerably to my parent's right on several issues, so it doesn't really surprise me that he might shy away from addressing racial inequities.

(Admittedly, I haven't seen or heard much of anything about him, for years now. But he sure as heck didn't come across as a liberal.)

Regarding the Trayvon Martin case, corporatist/conservative Dems ran like scalded dogs to avoid commenting on it. So, I don't doubt for one moment that corporatist conservadems wouldn't love to change the subject away from Michael Brown--with not one, but two major election cycles, just around the corner. However, my "guess" is that the Black Community won't allow it this time.

And changing the topic to "the 99% versus the 1%" (Kareem's suggestion) after the very public and violent way that OWS protestors were treated, is rather puzzling (to me).

Not that I don't agree with most (if not all) of his statistics--I do. Heck, wish I had a nickel for every time that I posted the following piece:

'Dismal' Prospects: 1 in 2 Americans Are Now Poor Or Low Income (NBC News)

which I just discovered has been removed from the NBC News website! (guess the Dems have had it scrubbed before the next two election cycles).

http://www.nbcnews.com/404/ (this is what remains)

Well, that's okay--here's a similar piece below:

Census shows 1 in 2 people are poor or low-income

Seriously, I think that Dems can walk and chew gum at the same time.

No one has beat the drum more consistently than I, in regards to taking on the issue of income inequality, and the evisceration of the "Middle Class."

But for crying' out loud, do Holder and Abdul-Jabbar actually believe that Brown's Mom (and, for that matter, the community of Ferguson, MO) will be satisfied with OWS 2.0, in lieu of justice for Michael Brown?

I don't.

But time will tell.
