Hillary & The Appalling Scumbags

Jon Schwarz, from the radiant TinyRevolution dot com (I cannot improve upon this):

I believe the short-lived proto-grindcore band Hillary & the Appalling Scumbags opened for Throbbing Gristle at their infamous Hamburg show in 1978.

Coincidentally, Russ Baker and Adam Federman have written an in-depth piece on the appalling scumbags that Hillary Clinton hangs out with. The main one they cover is financier Alan Quasha, who was previously seen bailing out George W. Bush's failing oil company in 1986. But there are others.

Of course, she was married to the President of the United States, and he had more people killed than Quasha could ever dream of. So I guess she's used to it.

I can't believe we're going to have to live through eight years of the Clinton Restoration. Will it be three times as squalid as the first time around, or merely just as squalid?

AND: I didn't realize Chelsea Clinton is now working for a hedge fund. You can see how, having the opportunity to do literally anything she wanted with her life, she would choose this. They're a sweet family.

Lately, she's been seen licking Drudge's balls, too. Per Ari Berman, in the Nation:

Mark Penn, not only polls for America's biggest companies but also runs one of the world's premier PR agencies. A bevy of current and former Hillary advisers, including her communications guru, Howard Wolfson, are linked to a prominent lobbying and PR firm--the Glover Park Group--that has cozied up to the pharmaceutical industry and Rupert Murdoch. Her fundraiser in chief, Terry McAuliffe, has the priciest Rolodex in Washington, luring high-rolling contributors to Clinton's campaign. Her husband, since leaving the presidency, has made millions giving speeches and counsel to investment banks like Goldman Sachs and Citigroup. They house, in addition to other Wall Street firms, the Clintons' closest economic advisers, such as Bob Rubin and Roger Altman, whose DC brain trust, the Hamilton Project, is Clinton's economic team in waiting. Even the liberal in her camp, former deputy chief of staff Harold Ickes, has lobbied for the telecom and healthcare industries, including a for-profit nursing home association indicted in Texas for improperly funneling money to disgraced former House majority leader Tom DeLay.

The only name from the bad, old days of Clinton triangu-pandering is Clark Clifford, and that old fraud is dead.

BTW, Throbbing Gristle is a good name for a grunge band

While Clinton, as opposed to Bush, isn't a sociopath, we also need to remember that many of the trends that Bush so accelerated began under Clinton. Halliburton made a good deal of money in Kosovo, for example (that's the first time I remember the mercenary/out-sourcing story really being covered).

Style note: The term of art you are looking for is "teabagging." Gets through comment queues just fine!

We. Are. Going. To. Die. We must restore hope in the world. We must bring forth a new way of living that can sustain the world. Or else it is not just us who will die but everyone. What have we got to lose? Go forth and Fight!—Xan

...but a whistleblower called them on the human trafficking of little girls into prostitution.

Nobody went to jail, though...

Once they were bought out by In-Q-Tel's subsidiary (or is it the other way around? it's so hard to tell who's eating whom in the Company), the Computer Science Corporation, they went all high tech and discreet.

Their current clients do not like bad publicity.
