that Krugman was was making any play (subconscious or no) on the word common to both cats and female anatomy.

I don't trust people
who don't like cats. My cousin's wife, for instance. Frothing-at-the-mouth wingnut. Hates cats.
On the other hand, Pat Buchanan likes cats. He has or used to have one he was positively nuts about (I heard about it on NPR). Made me like him just a teensy bit.
