Thanks for repeating, today, that you’re not running for VP.
I hope to see you in the AG seat in 2009, but I’ll understand if you’d rather be doing real work against poverty.
Happy Birthday, John Edwards!

What have you done for me lately, Johnny?
Just asking.
Bringiton -- is that "Won't Get Fooled Again" playing
over the background of your speakerphone?
I think the thing Edwards did today (end speculation that he’d take the VP slot from Obama) goes a long, long way toward rehabilitating John Edwards — unless, of course, one’s a hopeless Obamanation Kossack (and even some of them are starting to forgive Edwards, today).
What Obama can make of “partnering” with Elizabeth Edwards on health care remains to be seen. I won’t say I hold out hope that it will be a solution. I hope Obama does better by Elizabeth than he’s done, so far at least, by John.
We can admit that we’re killers … but we’re not going to kill today. That’s all it takes! Knowing that we’re not going to kill today! ~ Captain James T. Kirk, Stardate 3193.0
While I like some politicians
ones I actually know, the rest of them are for me useful tools - or not. I haven’t let myself feel serious emotional connectedness with a political figure for just about exactly 40 years to the day; too hurtful.
John can get my interest again by doing something more than what he’s doing now; whatever it is, is not enough. And yeah, we’ll see about the Elizabeth/Obama thing; her idea of partner may be different than his. It may be that the two of them see Obama as the best available tool for them right now, to get done what they want to do. When they get something going I’ll pay attention; until then, they don’t mean much to me.
Oh; Hi Sarah, how are you? Sorry, I know I sound harsh. I am in such a foul mood.
