No linux version available
...so I'll wait.
Understandable
I waited nearly a week until I posted about Chrome to check out some Beta vulnerabilities myself. A Linux version should be up shortly.
I use a real operating system
OS X, for which it is not yet available.

Eeek Apple
Despite the unixishness of OS X, I consider Apple to be at least as evil as M$.
Evil Apple
I agree.
Any chance you'd tell us why it's awesomer than other browsers?
?
Quickly: speed and design
It's incredibly smooth and fast. Yes, it even runs faster than my Firefox (Previously, my only browser; I don't care for Safari). And I love it's clean, simple design. And this before I've got to make some custom adjustments.
Also, just a quick note: I like its tabbing function much better (Unlike Firefox, Chrome allows you to add tabs without losing your current page and it isolates crashes to the tab).
I still use Firefox mostly, but I like that I have another great option.
That's all, really.
Any Hidden Tracking Devices In the Code?
Sorry, don't particularly trust Google. Not so much in terms of Government spying as in finding ways to use my information to make them money. Part of my natural suspicion of large corporations.
I'm happy with Opera
which at a quick glance at Google seems to have what they're selling, and other features I like. Don't think I'l bother trying it now. Also, I'm with BDBlue on not trusting them.
i'm with Cindy!
Power to fellow Opera fans BTW! :-)
And... I still do NOT understand why Opera remains so underrated. It's simply THE best browser; it's beyond me why people even bother with IE and Firefox and ignore Opera, which is superior by a number of criteria.
Of all the biggies I guess Google seems least evil
but that may be changing.
The Mozilla foundation
To me, the Mozilla foundation seems least evil. I think I will remain a firefox loyalist a while yet.
I mean, why *does* Google need to release a browser?
when's the mac version coming?
altho i do love Camino : >
Oh -- well, yeah; I do Firefox over a box run on Ubuntu Linux
here at home (ask me about the great benefits of OPEN SOURCE software, and a free browser!) and I love it. Firefox is Teh Ossum!!!
And while I'm as openhearted as the next guy, or gal, about cool new toyz -- Corrente's not usually a commercial zone, y' dig?
Put not your trust in dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup -- thus spake a much wiser software guru than I'll ever be.
AOL is a VIRUS, baby! (and the rumor is Gates hates Vista.)
and the rumor is Gates hates Vista
Everyone does.
Went to a conference recently and the Mod asked, "How many are on Vista?"
No hands.
"How many are implementing a move to Vista?"
No hands.
"How many are considering move to Vista in the next 18 - 24 months?"
Three or four hands.
To translate:
Vista sucks and everyone knows it. No support out in the real world for this POS.
I am really liking Chrome, but...
...where the hell is the homepage button? I understand it's Beta, but there are some seriously rudimentary things missing. Otherwise, though, it rocks. I especially like that if one tab crashes, it won't crash the full browser.
I had to search using Chrome
to figure out where the hell the home button for Chrome is. Click the wrench click options then check off the box to display the home button.
I finally downloaded it
and I have one question "What the hell does it do?"* I'm a big Google whore and use just about every thing they create but this browser has me scratching my head.
I figured maybe it would be integrated with all the Google products I use but it just seems like an average browser. Although, I do like the browsing in stealth mode thingie.
*yes, I know search the internets but still...
Stickin' with IE6 until it collapses like a sack o' shite.
But else would you expect from a still-practicing IBM mainframe COBOL programmer? ;)

I ran into problems with
I ran into problems with the whole thing freezing when I loaded a pdf file in one tab. It didn't crash, but I couldn't do anything while trying to move through the pdf, not change tabs or even close it. And it wouldn't go where I wanted in the file.
Mixed reaction to the fact that it was able to load all my logins and passwords from Firefox.
