If you have "no place to go," come here!

Good thing we're in the era of looking forward, not backward

It's unfair to dredge up policy statements from as long ago as late March, 2010, so for nostalgia buffs only:

President Barack Obama's announcement Wednesday that he'll lift bans on new drilling for oil and natural gas off much of the U.S. coastline drew criticism from environmentalists and halfhearted welcomes from Republicans, even as Obama called it only one part of a broad strategy to reduce foreign oil dependence and enact climate-change policy.

His administration will allow further study and new drilling to proceed from Delaware to Florida, starting with leases off the Virginia coast, as well as off the oil-rich eastern Gulf of Mexico.

We can't remember shit and the media tries hard not to let us remember when its not convenient.

from the GOP's failed VP candidate, but have no recollection of Obama's quote of less than two months ago -- backed by actionable policy:

Ultimately, we need to move beyond the tired debates between right and left, between business leaders and environmentalists, between those who would claim drilling is a cure all and those who would claim it has no place. Because this issue is just too important to allow our progress to languish while we fight the same old battles over and over again.

My nearest and dearest Obama fans have simply accepted that we "have to drill". After all, Obama said so. As for the BP disaster, well, accidents do happen.

Truly, we have been blessed with a great leader.

are more than happy to run interference for Obama. No wonder Obama's blatant culpability on this matter is going largely unremarked upon.

Look at the "progressive" blogs like Digby's. She is studiously avoiding any discussion about Obama's culpability and turning her fire on . . . .

Rand Paul and libertarians. Yep. Nothing like a good diversion to keep progressive Dems boxed in the veal pen.

It's quite obvious these access bloggers like Digby have no interest in honest discussion. They are "activists" that have decided to go down with the good ship Obama no matter what. There is no lie they will not spin.

It is inexcusable to ignore Obama's culpability in this instance.

The entire party is rotten to the core and its sycophantic bloggers are even more lame.
