If you have "no place to go," come here!

Good for Hillary (!)

Nice to see Hillary taking a step toward taking a stand in favor of the restoration of Constitutional government:

"We cannot send a signal that the next attorney general in any way condones torture or believes that the president is unconstrained by law," said Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York.

The Democratic front-runner said Mukasey has had plenty of chances to clarify his answers and state his opposition to interrogation techniques. "His failure to do so leaves me no choice but to oppose his nomination," Clinton said.

Now, how about retroactive immunity for the telcos?

Just because Dodd got there first is not reason not to do the right thing, yes?

i mean, who would've thought, back when she was not baking cookies and dealing with health care, that we'd be Really Fucking Ecstatic about a senator saying that torture and the theory of the unitary executive are bad things? what a brave and controversial stance to take, huh?

we've come a long way, baby.

A candidate who doesn't want to torture people who have been denied counsel and are not even charged with a crime? What a leftist freak she must be!

Keep 'em coming, Hillary. The idea of not holding one's nose in the voting booth in November of '08 intrigues me...
