Freedom isn't free

The point made was generally poignant, though, I think he could have paralleled McCain and Swift without the kind of personal dig at McCain as if he had something to do with Swifts' jailing, only at the end to come back around to thanking McCain for his service. I found it to be a totally strange and unfair guilt tripping, and thus distracting from the paralell. I could understand if he could somehow connect a McCain policy to the point, but there's not even that. Maybe I missed something.

BTW, it was amazing to see how the Adam LaDuca kid manages to smear two ethnic groups in one slur of a comment. And, yes, this was a particularly racist comment given that Obama's lips aren't a defining characteristic of his image, rather a very common smear against African Americans. This seems like one of those subconscious instances of racism, because he clearly seems to believe that he didn't mean it as a racial slur, which is really more sad than anything else. If the first part didn't tip him off, the whole 'Cuba' comment just a section later should have.
