First time unemployment reports up


Applications for jobless benefits increased by 51,000 to 454,000 in the week ended Jan. 22, Labor Department figures showed today. Economists forecast 405,000 claims, according to the median estimate in a Bloomberg News survey. The number of people on unemployment benefit rolls rose, while those collecting extended payments fell.

So, that means, of course, it's all good. And jobs may catch up in a few years....

So, hang in there, those with no jobs and incomes. VP Joe says you can make it by hanging in there. We all know we don't really need income...or something like that.

Than, again, that phrase "hang in there" my have a hurry up and die implication. Ooops.
