What a shame. Via All Spin Zone:

Wally â€œ[I'm] committed to helping Ohio deliver its electoral votes for the presidentâ€ O'Dell, CEO of Diebold, has resigned for â€œpersonal reasonsâ€.

And what are those personal reasons, you ask?

Some of those â€œpersonal reasonsâ€ could be an imminent securities fraud case that may be filed as early as today and executive political donations (all to the GOP) - against corporate policy.
Quick SpinMan, the company needs a â€œmakeoverâ€ in the wake of the attention that's being paid in California, Ohio and North Carolina.

Doubtless "Wally" will serve a few months in Club Fed, just like Ken Lay...
