Cuomo loses on appeal; Teachout can appear on ballot
Second Judicial District appeals court judges in Brooklyn upheld a decision by a lower court to allow Teachout to remain on the ballot, despite a challenge from Cuomo on the grounds that Teachout didn’t meet the minimum five-year residency requirement to run for governor.
The court ruled that the burden of proof falls on the Cuomo camp, not Teachout, thus because the lower court ruled that Cuomo’s lawyer did not prove she didn’t meet the requirement, the ruling was upheld.
Teachout and Randy Credico will appear on the ballot along side Cuomo in next month’s Democratic primary.
IIRC, Teachout is first on the ballot. BWA-HA-HA-HA-HA-HA!!! She'll get a chunk of the "Anybody But Cuomo" crowd just for that!
