If you have "no place to go," come here!

Well, er, advertising...

... since there are these nice new sidebars, and with winter coming on, hamster kibble is at a premium...

Seriously, anybody who's an expert this, as opposed to a rank amateur like me -- rank because I'm conserving water 'til the plumber comes -- please chime in!

I have no experise, but I know common sense when I see it. Put up as many more ads as you can, for heaven's sakes; make a little money for a change, it'll do you good.

See the link in the NOTE at top right. Thanks! (I need to be able to track this stuff, and I just can't do it in comments.)

Do what you need to do, Lambert. I think Melissa at Shakesville monitors the ads on her site. She is pretty careful about ad content. Maybe she could give you some helpful info.

PS_ love the new site her, but wish comments went top to bottom with oldest on top. That's all. Thanks.

Well.....
I'm not as Satanic as Hillary but I am a woman so here goes. If people just remember to click on the links everytime we visit the site then the blog should start paying for itself in no time.

maybe start slow--like with text ads or those amazon ones that you can choose the content for, or something?

google text ads -- https://www.google.com/adsense/login/en_US/

something to watch for, or investigate -- haven't astroturfing, corporations doing greenwashing, and fake grassroots groups, etc, been a problem with some of the blog ad networks? haven't there been probs about some of those?

this pays too, apparently--putting a google search box up-- https://www.google.com/adsense/static/en...

those seem like a good, less-obtrusive start, i guess.

also--you can do that thing where only people not logged in see more ads than those who are--i know a bunch of sites do that kind of thing.

but if you start taking ads for bras, and stiletto heeled shoes, and t-shirts that apparently can only be worn by buxom young women in g-strings, i'm going to protest.

They get pretty good ads, for cute stuff, like Panda mugs!
