Mystery plant

I have no idea what this plant is. I purchased it from a nursery whose primary business is landscaping. The owner is an eccentric plant collector. When I purchased this plant (a few years ago) most of her plants were not labeled, so if you needed to know what you were buying, you had to ask. No label = no memory. The plant was rosette like and didn't bloom for a number of years. After it bloomed, it died. Made for a nice picture anyway.
