CNN Reports the News!
Venezuela President Hugo Chavez and soccer star Maradonna tell the cheering crowd that George W. Bush is a dickwad.
So here's the online headline at CNN (Friday, November 4th, 2005, at 11:17 a.m. PST):
Bush backs human rights; protesters call him 'fascist'
Does Bush "back human rights" or does he say he backs human rights? Should CNN investigate to see if there is validity to Bush's assertion, you know, records, e-mails, video? What do those two words mean when placed together: "human" and "rights?" Come on, CNN! Do the work!
The People Gathered in Argentina to hear the Great Excommunicator deserve no less!
When a news org publishes a broad, aggrandizing statement about a politician as a fact it has ceased to be a legitimate news organization: it out Orwells Orwell. "Bush backs human rights" has all the meaning of "Stalin Will Make the Crops Grow This Summer." Hmm...Stalinist crops...
btw: I ain't legit either, so I guess that makes CNN and me cousins of a kind...
