Cicadas

I love the sound of cicadas; three weeks into August, and it's finally summer in Zone 5b.

And, of course, I'm already thinking about insulation...

We've had them for a few weeks already down here (NYC). But it felt late, anyway.

I live in a 5a completely surrounded by a 5b. It's kind of odd.

As far as I know, the cicada songs were expected in June here... that's what's odd. It's been a cool summer only in the "cooler than some of the killers we've had in the past 5 years" sense.

Maybe I'm missing something.
