"PB" 2.0... MR SUBLIMINAL Look out! [dodges zuchinni]

Is Progressive Blogosphere 2.0 needed? What should it look like? D'où Venons Nous? Que Sommes Nous? Où Allons Nous?

Readers?

NOTE Obviously, this post is a shameless attempt to hype our "symposium" tomorrow, Thursday, at 5:00 PM, where we'll share a draft Manifesto on this very point -- and Big Tent Democrat has very kindly agreed to post and moderate for, because this thing of ours is bigger than we are, way bigger even than The Mighty Corrente Building.

clarify which kind of cheek

It's not too early for me to debase this entire thing.

;)

Surely you don't mean EST?

Eastern Standard Time? You might mean EDST or even its 25% shorter sibling EDT, but not EST. Eventually Sirens Triumph?

Sounds like fun. Give 'em hell. I hope somebody figures out how to enfranchise progressives, being that the powers that be...you know.

++++

5:00 "East Coast Time" today, in the summer

I thought EDT was a subset of EST. Oopsie....

Issues, not Parties or candidates

How did the creamy go bad? They were spawned out of anti-Bush sentiment and only defined as being "against" something as opposed to affirmatively for something. I've said it before when you survive to oppose, you will find something to hate. PB1 was lost after Bush was no longer the enemy and focused their hate on Hillary.

The goal of a movement should be to sway *both* parties and public sentiment, not align with a single party or candidate. PB1 never understood that. They liked their presumed power more than changing the debate.

I'm a partisan but want a progressive movement independent of any Party/candidate.

Toxic discourse...

... has been primarily generated on the right -- that's why it was so shocking and disgusting when the OFB took it over.

But that's not to say anybody can't generate it; toxic discourse is a human failing...

Can't make it

I'll be on the road to the FeralFarm.

Next time!

We hope this will be the first of a series....

Blogosphere 2.0 - like the first one, minus the koolaid

A good part of the blogosphere abdicated their role of media watch. they are now going through the familiar self-referential mea culpas and finger pointing.
I say, anyone who supported the main stream media during this primary has lost the rights to call itself "progressive" just as a certain party has to fins a less ironical name ("Bros before hos?)
Oh, and I hate peanut butter.

Sure, but how...

... to avoid the Kool-Aid. Of others, and for one's self. That's the question.
