I see in the daily HuffPo e-mail news blast that Obama has a post there called “My Position On FISA.”
But I’m afraid to click it. Sounds NSFW.
There are some positions that even the Kama Sutra’s editors would find too degradingly submissive to print….
I think Lambert’s wrong about Obama needing more donations. I think what he needs is a “safe word.” Because sometimes “just words” really do matter.

Front page
it's more like his supporters need the safe word--
he’s the one who is betraying and abusing his supporters’ trust on every single issue.
And if it is a S/M relationship he wants to have with the country, there’s no trust, and no thanks (and he’s in the S role).
I clicked it,
but I don’t know enough about the new bill to understand what he’s saying. I don’t have time to take it in, but there’s a detailed discussion of the bill at Balkinization.
I don’t care for Obama, but accusing him of betrayal and abuse without actually evaluating his words strikes me as not quite what we want for PB2.0.
Admittedly, after a brief scan at Balkinization and a revisit of Obama’s statement, I’m not terribly convinced by him. But I wouldn’t be able to make a strong case against him without some work.
Shoot, I forgot
what brought me back to this post in the first place - this McClatchy opinion piece by Joseph Galloway. Not too shabby for the MCM.
Should we pretend that we don't know what's going on?
To be all civil-like?
Glenn Greenwald, who does understand the details, has this pretty well covered:

Shorter Glenn: Nice that Obama is responding to his critics. Too bad he’s still peddling misinformation and capitulation.
Certainly not. But not all of us actually know
everything, and one of the truly great things about blogs is that those who do know can point to good sources for those who don’t. Thanks for the linky goodness.
Unsurprisingly, the O is being his usual slippery self.
Doctor bloody Bernofsky knows everything!

I wonder if he has a blog. And if Bernofsky is the right spelling. I’ve seen as “Bronowski,” etc.
