If the President wants us to believe that he's changed these past few weeks, that he finally understands what he's done wrong, and what needs to be done to fix it, then he needs to stop publicly mocking the people who got him elected. His apparent, ongoing, contempt for his own party is distressing, but far worse, it suggests that he still doesn't get why people are upset with him. And it's going to be awfully difficult for him to change what he doesn't even understand.
