Bush approval tanking state-by-state
Primary tabs
My goodness. You've gotta take a look at this set of polls.
Six states that voted for W in 2004 now have approval numbers below 40%, including my own state of Missouri. This shows a profound sense of disappointment in several key swing states. As Kos points out, there are now only six states that give W positive numbers -- and W's adopted "home state" of Texas isn't among them.
Just why the hell did the folks in these states vote for him, anyway? His second term has turned out exactly like I expected it to -- how did they expect it to turn out?
Nothing about the litany of clusterfucks (incompetence, cronyism, lying about everything, etc.) over the last several months is particularly surprising or in any way a change from what happened in the utterly disastrous first term.
Did the folks in these states really think Bush was suddenly going to become, um, like a good president or something?
