Breech of the Dam and Rebirth of White Salmon River

Indeed, that was some amazing video footage. I read the Wikipedia article on the history of the dam and found it interesting, though no doubt it has omissions. I would imagine that the flushed sediment will suffocate quite a lot of lives. Nature is pretty resilient, though - it is interesting to watch the re-colonization of the Mt. St. Helens volcanic eruption area, for example.
