Sorry to "post and run" the past few weeks: I am insanely busy, actually at a conference as I post this today, but I've actually read a few interesting books (on the subway trips, mostly!) which I have no time to write about, so I'll mention: Read below the fold...

Traveling home on the subway today, I idly glanced through A copy of the NY Post another straphanger had left behind. In case you don't know, that is NYC's Murdoch outlet.

And what a bizarro world I entered. Here is [columnist?] [journalist?] Charles Hurt's "Inside Washington" for today:

Essentially powerless to stop the Democratic health-care plan from getting rammed through Congress, the Republicans have settled on a strategy of making little fixes where they can and causing enormous discomfort for vulnerable Democrats in conservative districts.
