They also plan to implement a series of new servicing standards such as verifying that affidavits submitted in foreclosure cases are accurate and complete, which banks failed to do in the recent “robo-signing” scandal.
The law, of course, demands that affidavits be accurate and complete. So we'll all be eagerly awaiting the criminal prosecutions for all those who committed perjury before the courts, which is what submitting a false affidavit means (and as you or I would discover if we did it).
