Austin's Suicide Bomber Murdered a Vietnam Veteran

Thread:

By now you've all heard about the lunatic who drove his airplane into the Austin building where the IRS had its offices.
Two people died in the fiery plane crash Friday. The one you haven't heard about was this man, Vernon Hunter:
Murdered Friday

He served two tours in Viet Nam. He spent 20 years in the United States Army. He was a father and a grandfather. He was a year away from retiring from the IRS. He went to work, Friday morning, like so many Americans do -- like more than 3,000 went to work on a bright September morning in 2001. He deserves justice.

Of course, like the 19 terrorists who drove jumbo jets into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania almost a decade ago, the lunatic who killed Vernon Hunter won't stand trial. Unlike those 19 terrorists, that jerk's becoming something of a cult hero here in the US.

I "assumed" that no one other than the pilot died.

Reading about Vernon Hunter reminds me of how the press misses much of the story in their fight for the worst of humand nature.

RIP, Vernon. Thank you for your service to our country.

missing after the crash was included in all the media articles I read. This is the first I'm hearing his name. My sincerest sympathy for him, his family and friends. What can now bring him justice? The man who killed him is dead.

I would like an explanation for why the media and the gov't has neglected to speak out about the innocent man who was lost in this. Generally, a trust account would be set up for people to help the family and do something to show they care.

So sad. He looks like a really kind man.
