If you have "no place to go," come here!

Argument from authority...

"The President’s Proposal"... "The President’s Proposal".... Over and over and over again.

Gag me with a spoon. As a slogan, compare "Medicare for All." See any difference?

Like, you know what the plan is?

As opposed to a pathetic laundry list of trivial changes?

... this president is the greatest person in the world, so his imprimatur is all that's needed.

It's no doubt the bestest, most pragmatic plan possible, and only a h8r would say otherwise.

When did we get a president? I haven't seen any evidence of one for, well, at least 13 months.

I am now supposed to be horrified that the Sparkle Pony isn't included in the "president's proposal," and to call everyone in the world insisting that I want it.

I wonder who funds these groups, really?

list I ended up on since probably 2004; they’d gotten to be like spam, cluttering up my In Box, and most of the organizations/legislators involved have done little to earn the right to bother me on an almost-daily basis.

The truth is that I don’t need to get e-mails to know what’s going on, and I certainly do not need to be hounded for cash – these people are almost as bad as debt collectors, for crying out loud – in tones that suggest the apocalypse is imminent if I don’t give money to keep Dems in Congress.

I’ve taken a “don’t call me – I’ll call you” approach; much less annoying.

I like to know what the idiots are up to.

Plus, the transparent hysteria makes me laugh. But then again, I have a dark sense of humor.

when I read the the "government insurance" wasn't included in the President's proposal. I suppose the usual suspects will be asking everyone to make phone calls, emails, etc., to insist on the vaunted "public option" they so hung their hat on.

"Open" "Left" "public" "option."

I hope we haven't hit peak scare-quote production! We're gonna need a lot of them for three more years of this "progressive" presidency!
