Seems like gratitude is not a strong characteristic of The Winger Nature:

So, in recommending Miers to Bush—but not, mind you, promising to vote for her—did Harry Reid throw Bush an anvil?
I'd have to say Yes. Splitting Bush from the VRWC and the operators of the Republican Noise Machine isn't such a bad outcome, now is it?
