Anthony Weiner on single-payer and public option plans

... and so much more. Man, he's good:

I'd just like to draw attention to something Weiner mentions almost as a throw-away line (around 1:30 in the video), but that really deserves more attention: the fact that our current employer-based system means that goods and services that we produce cost more because the cost of providing health care is paid (partially) by employers.

I am so in love with him....

He's dreamy.

Great post here on the history of the public plan:

Medicare for All is Civil Rights

Out of all of Congress...

He is probably the strongest and clearest voice on this issue. He comes armed with facts and knows when to pull the right ones out of his hat.

I can's see the video--do others?

Thnx. (I used the link to view the video. It was kind of nice to see MCMers acting realtively like adults and asking some good questions. But, mostly, just letting Weiner make his points.)

If you have problems with embedded video players

1) try reloading the page. Sometimes they are just slow loading. If this doesn't work after some time...

2) See this comment (and discussion upthread). These video players are in iframes (we have no choice about that) and apparently iframes may lead to problems. Clearing cookies may help, or quitting the browser and then restarting it. Apple's suggestion was to reset your browser completely, which is a rather drastic solution.
