If you have "no place to go," come here!

Annals of career "progressive" idiocy

Booman on what Obama should be doing in the Deepwater Horizon disaster:

He just needs to display more of his concern and project that he's working the issue relentlessly.

Oh. Okay.

See, that's why we have the blogosphere: To come out with these out-of-the-box ideas, ideas that nobody's ever thought of before.

1. Obama's doing a heckuva job but (to get us philistines off his back) he needs to make a bigger show of it
2. He simply needs to create the appearance of doing a heckuva job, since perception is reality

Which is why Finger-Wagging Obama comes out now and again, along with Lecturing/Hectoring Obama, and Look-at-my-face-I'm-ANGRY Obama.

He's as plastic and phony as it is possible to be. And he's not even good at it.

To sponser a debate between Madamab and Booman. I would die happy if I got to see that.

Seriously, how much would I have to pay you? I would donate to whatever charity you'd like, even the Lambert Strether Center for Kids Who Can't Read Good and Stuff.

I'm laughing just thinking of it.

I'm a cheap date.

;-)

Seriously, thanks, RubberNecker. I would have a really hard time keeping a straight face while debating the following deep questions with our friend Booman:

"Barack Obama: Great President, or Best President Ever?"

"Women: When Will They Just STFU?"

and

"Dude, Where's My White House Dinner Invitation Already?"
