‘Alaska Women Reject Palin’ Rally

I know this has been covered elsewhere and maybe even here but I couldn't find it. And I like Mudflats, so even though Palin's nomination seems to be the making of them, I thought I'd give them another plug. Besides, it made me laugh. And it only has around 200,000 views so far.

Takes some courage to stand against the local trend, and especially to show up in the face of calls for retribution flowing out over the airwaves. A very impressive size crowd, someone said it was the biggest protest gathering ever in Alaska; don't know if that's factually true, but it is pretty big for the population. Quick back-of-the-hand estimate would put a NYC equivalent at about 40,000 and that would indeed be a big protest crowd.

Forty-thousand people showing up in NYC to rally against Biden or Obama would make banner newspaper and blog headlines all across the country, and the TV MSM would be talking about nothing else. Equivalent huge homestate protest against Palin? Ho-hum.
