If you have "no place to go," come here!

With 2009 bankster bailout bonus money, Dems could have created 5 million jobs at $30K each

David DeGraw in Alternet does the math:

Meanwhile, 2009 was a record-breaking year for Wall Street bonuses, as firms issued $150 billion to their executives. 100% of these bonuses are a direct result of our tax dollars, so if we used this money to create jobs, instead of giving them to a handful of top executives, we could have paid an annual salary of $30,000 to 5 million people.

Fuck, if I got $30K, I'd scream for joy! How about $10K, and cover 15 million?

So, I got this spam from that racist-smearing weasel David Plouffe the other day:

Many Americans are still struggling, and creating jobs remains President Obama's top priority.

HAHAHAHAHAHA!

No.

The record is clear. Bonuses for banksters is Obama's top priority. After all, they're "savvy businessmen." Watch what he does, not what he says.

The legacy parties are so full of shit. Obama, personally, is so full of shit.

NOTE Via Susie.

UPDATE Even Axelrod knows he's full of shit. There's no Donate button at the bottom of the mail! He knows he can't get any more money out of us. Why would that be?

And opens up interesting speculation: does the federal government have the power to take these bonuses, this money, from the bankers?

If it doesn't right now, I'm sure it could give itself that kind of power.

about the $100 billion "jobs bill." Imagine if the government just deposited that money into every unemployed American's account? It would probably help a lot more than all the tax cuts and non-job-generating crap they threw into it.

its about the elite. Case closed. Except that the banksters and the obscenely rich are biting off their own **** unless they hope to live in a cloud city somewhere with slave labor and no natural intelligence helping them for the future. Which is kinda the evidence of extreme arrogance that they appear to possess.

Barry Obama (like all entitled) believe they live in this cloud city and the rest of us can and should be slaves to their dreams.

Fuck, if I got $30K, I'd scream for joy!

Monty "Obama" Hall: From the great state of Maine, Lambert Strether, come on down! Nervous Lambert?

LS: a little bit ...

Monty "Obama" Hall: Tough decisions. Sacrifice. There will be sacrifice, but perhaps you, Lambert Strether, will give 5 million Americans a new lease on life w/ a $30K payment for each one!

Three doors. Behind one, a pair of goats. Behind another, taxpayer-funded bankster bonuses. But one door sends $30K to 5 million Americans!

LS: I'd scream for joy! I'll pick door #2.

Monty "Obama" Hall: Of course, good sportsmanship requires that you scream with joy if the banksters get their bonuses, heh-heh, but let's see what's behind door #3!

It's the goats! Lambert, your odds on securing $30K for 5 million Americans just increased to 50:50. Do you wish to change doors?

LS: I'm sticking w/ #2.

Monty "Obama" Hall: Then let's see what's behind door #1. Oh, so sad, too bad -- it's the $30K for 5 million! And that means, now show us what's behind Lambert's choice, door #2 ...

LS: Bullshit! This was a bait-and-switch! This game was rigged to have the banksters win, no matter what! You're just selling hope and ....

Monty "Obama" Hall: Now, now, banksters won fair and square. Scream for joy, citizen, you just made a handful of Americans very happy. I'm just the MC. Now you see how tough this can be -- so many deserving folks out there, but at the end of the day, there can only be one winner.

LOL!

But isn't there an algorithm for the three doors? Damn if I remember what it is, though.

They are often products of legacy and/or the ones most willing to sacrifice integrity. Perhaps this is why they continue on a path that is so clearly headed for massive disaster. Sure money, fame, and power are intoxicating, but one would think that self preservation requires some level of incorporating basic levels of justice into their whole plan.
